The last 6 months or so...

So my friends, it has officially been about 4-6 months since my last post. I know I have been lagging but I just didn't feel like writing. So to sum it up real quick here are tidbits from the whirlwind I call the last four-six months.
May
Visited Chico State, where Dan went to college. We met up with a few of his friends and partied the night away. We went to the famous Riley's bar where I proceeded to drink all that I could find. I quickly realized that this town was a little wild for my blood and I was in bed before 11pm.

We went to Puerto Vallarta for a week on vacation. My parent's have a timeshare down there and got us a deal for $125 dollars for the entire week. We had a gorgeous 2 bedroom condo to ourselves and had a blast hanging out with my family and some of Dan's friends who live down there.  I flew back to LA a few days early to celebrate Rachel's bachelorette party at the Standard hotel with all the girls. We had fabulous dinners, saw a burlesque show and relaxed at the pool.

June

Enjoyed my 1st rodeo! I was definitely a little bummed out seeing them roping the cattle, it just made me feel sad. We had "backstage" (not sure what you would call that at a Rodeo) passes and way too much free Jack Daniels. Took a ride home in the back of an ambulance....not because we were hurt but my family works for the company and it was a safe and free ride. =)

Rachel and Doug got married!! I love these two together and we had such a blast despite me being on my death bed. They were the first of many couples to have a photobooth at their wedding and I can't wait to enjoy one for my day.

June/July

Michelle gets pneumonia! I was sick and out of work for 24 days and forced to go on medical disability.  This was a terribly boring sickness since I wasn't allowed or able to do anything. For example, I ran across the street to pick up my prescription (20 feet) and was completely winded. I had no idea that it would knock me out so bad. I have never watched so much television and movies. I missed out on the 4th of July festivities but was able to see the amazing 45 minute fireworks show they put on.

August

On a few of my days off Dan and I decided to do a camping trip along the Eastern Sierras. He got out the map and found all the dirt roads, hot springs, and unassigned camping spaces for our adventure. This trip was some of the most fun I have ever had. We camped in the back of my Jeep and cruised all the way down to the Kern river with plenty of stops on the way. One of the places we camped was called obsidian dome in which Dan decided to fashion a knife from an obsidian rock. He was successful but in the recreation of the event, he sliced his finger open pretty bad. But luckily not bad enough to ruin the trip.

We took a trip to San Francisco one weekend to see the Giants play. This was one of my birthday presents to him since he is probably the biggest fan I know. We stayed with his Uncle in the city, met up with our friend Tanner and had a blast at the game. On the way home we stayed the night in Walnut Creek to meet up with my family who were in town for a wedding. We sang songs and strummed guitars in the hotel lobby into the wee hours and Dan was able to finally meet the rest of my extended family.

August 21st...Dan's birthday weekend had arrived and his mom and her friend came to visit us. We went out doing the tourist thing and had a blast. We ate dinner at Bite, an American tapas restaurant and played video poker at the local dive bar while indulging ourselves. I even ended up winning 25 dollars on the video poker machine.

.........I will stop here and blog about September's events in the next post. I'm going to get better at this I promise. =)
